-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is the STR8 Email List? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The STR8 List was created to provide a safe space for straight and questioning youth who have friends or family members who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or questioning to talk to each other. The list is a supportive environment catering to the unique needs of straight youth who need to talk to other people in their same situation. Example situations: Your best friend just told you he is gay. You've been friends for a long time and have shared a lot of good times. You don't want to end the friendship, but you just don't know how you can deal with him being gay. What do you do? We're here to help! Your brother just came out to your family. Now you're starting to even question your sexuality because of it. What's the deal? We're here to support you! Your girlfriend just broke up with you because she's a lesbian. How did this happen and how come she didn't tell you before? We're here to listen! Your parents are getting a divorce because your mother found out your father was having an affair with another man. You love your dad, but how could he do this to your family and what happens now? We'll get you in contact with local resources in your area! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Who can subscribe? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The STR8 List is restricted to youth 25 years or younger. If you are 25 or under, self-identify your sexual orientation as heterosexual or questioning, and have friends or family members who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, or questioning, and would like to talk to other straight young people your age, then this is the place for you! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How do I subscribe? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In order to become a subscriber of the STR8 List, you must meet the conditions listed above. No exceptions will be made. If you meet the qualifications, simply send an email to str8-subscribe@lists.youth-guard.org and we will begin the approval process. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Need help subscribing? To post a message to all the list members, send email to STR8@lists.youth-guard.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to STR8

Subscribe to STR8 by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
